Dr. Ozgur completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine in 1994 and proceeded to earn his medical degree from the prestigious University of Vermont, College of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Ozgur has contributed to numerous researches publications and articles with focus in the area of spine and neurosurgery. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Ozgur has always been passionate about research, which has led to numerous publications and citations. He has written more than 29 articles in peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, and delivered more than 100 presentations. He is a published author of neurosurgical textbook, “Minimally-Invasive Spine Surgery, A Practical Guide to the Anatomy and Techniques.” In the book, Dr. Ozgur, discussed in detail the 18 most widely accepted minimally-invasive procedures in spine surgery. The beautifully illustrated book provides the most up-to-date material and the broadest perspective on the subject. Procedures range from simple to complex and cover the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine.

In his spare time, Dr. Ozgur loves spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys the great outdoors and adventures, frequently participating in fishing excursions and competing in competitive running events, obstacle courses and triathlons. An accomplished triathlete, Dr. Ozgur has competed in some of the top local and international triathlons, including the Los Angeles Triathlon, the ITU World Triathlon and the Turkey Triathlon.
